COFFEE, CAKES AND CRAFTS: Come and start your Christmas Shopping and support St Wilfrid's Hospice at the same time. Tomorrow, Saturday, 11am to 4pm. There will be a warm welcome for everyone plus coffee/tea and delicious homemade cakes and scones. Lots of crafts will be available to buy. These will include a range of unique, handmade fabric handbags and cushions, handmade cards for all occasions, individually made Christmas Crackers and gift bags, paintings, beautiful children's knitwear, handmade and pre-loved jewellery, bird and insect houses/boxes and many small Christmas Gifts. Some craft materials and haberdashery will also be available. 20 percent of all sales plus the donations for coffee/tea and cakes/scones will go to the Hospice. Free entry but donations requested for coffee, tea and cakes, all of which will go to the Hospice.

FASHION SHOW AND SALE: High Street Brands at greatly reduced prices. Sizes 10 to 20. Sussex Horse Rescue Trust is hosting a Charity Fashion Sale at Uckfield Civic Centre from 1.30pm to 4pm tomorrow, Saturday. No ordering, buy on the day, cash or card. This promises to be a fun afternoon. The event begins with a live catwalk show followed by time for shopping. £4 in advance from Sew ’n’ Sew Haberdashery, Bell Walk, Uckfield; £4 in advance by post to Wendy Gundry 23 Southway, Burgess Hill, cheques payable to Sussex Horse Rescue Trust, please enclose a sae; £6 on the door, we are restricted on numbers so cannot guarantee space.

FINE ARTS SOCIETY: Uckfield Decorative and Fine Arts Society next meet on Wednesday October 12, 2pm in Uckfield Civic Centre. The speaker will be Nicole Mezey on The World of Shakespeare.
