A TREE came down in Shoreham overnight as gales blew across the south.

The tree blocked Mill Lane, where it had fallen across the road around 5.50am and landed against a garage.

Some early drivers managed to squeeze underneath and a cyclist is seen dipping under in our video, filmed around 9.15am.

By then, council workmen had closed part of the road as they prepared for the clear-up operation.
