'Hazards still remain' Police in East Sussex warn after Storm Austen
Eastbourne Police have warned people that people should still be aware of bad weather after the storm.
A spokesperson said: “The calm after the storm...

“Over the last few days, we've received and responded to a number of calls relating to the recent strong winds and stormy weather across the district.
“From road closures caused by fallen trees and debris, to loose animals wandering onto roads and reports of items being blown along the seafront creating hazards for pedestrians and motorists, officers have been working hard alongside partner agencies, local community groups, and volunteers to help keep people safe.
“While the worst of the weather may be behind us, hazards can still remain.
“If you come across any storm-related damage or safety concerns, please report them to the relevant emergency service or authority, and consider checking in on vulnerable neighbours, friends and “family members who may need a helping hand.”
