HARVEST FESTIVAL: Jeffrey Bridges writes: This special service to mark harvest time, when we say thank you for all the gifts of God’s creation and remember how fortunate we are to be well provided for, will be at the later time of 11am on Sunday 11th October in Whatlington church.

The service will be taken by Reader Charmaine Hill and our own Vicar, Kevin Mepham, will be joining us for the Harvest Lunch which will follow the service and be served in the church at 12noon. There will be a £5 charge for the lunch to cover the cost of the food etc.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to villagers to come and join us for this service and to stay for the lunch, which will be served in the church. We also invite people to bring a gift of food (nothing too perishable please) suitable to be taken on to the Seaview Centre in St.Leonards which helps the disadvantaged in the area. Gifts will be taken to the Altar during the service. The car park at the nearby village hall will be open and limited parking is also available nearby in the small car park adjacent to the churchyard.
