The pub quiz is every Thursday night from 8pm for teams of up to six people, with free lollipops - how can you resist?

There will be another opportunity to pick up some bargains at the next Village Hall Jumble Sale on Saturday 16th November at 10am. Helpers are always welcome, call Angie on 01424 870492.

It is of course Remembrance Sunday this weekend, and so the monthly All Age Service in Whatlington Village Hall at 10.30am on Sunday will include an act of Remembrance.

It is hoped that church services will be able to return to the church building on Sunday 24th November, but this will not mark the official re-opening, watch this space for news about that in due course.

And finally a very Happy Birthday to Richard Thorne, hoping you enjoy retirement!
