'Chema Andres, Femi Azeez' - Brighton's dream starting XI now the transfer window has closed

All the reaction from Brighton and Hove Albion’s summer transfer window

It's looks a pretty decent transfer window for Brighton all things considered.

Ten new faces arrived, including a record breaking £50m deal for Luka Vuskovic with Tottenham. There were also two signings in the final hours of the window as Chema Andres and Femi Azeez arrived for a combined total of around £30m.

The window has refreshed the squad and gives head coach Fabian Hurzeler some new toys as Albion prepare to juggle the demands of the Premier League, the Uefa Conference League and the domestic cups.

Albion are next in action this Saturday against Leeds United at the Amex Stadium.

Here's Albion's dream XI now the transfer window has gently closed

Bart Verbruggen - GK

The Dutchman remains Albion's trusted No 1 and could well be for the foreseeable future as the Seagulls sold Carl Rushworth to Coventry during the window. Jason Steele provides the reliable back-up.

Mats Wieffer - RB

The Dutchman is an injury concern as he's believed to have picked up a knee issue at Chelsea last week. If he's fit, he remains Albion's best right back. The arrival of Costinha provides healthy competition.

Luka Vuskovic - CB

The £50m arrival looks very good so far. He struggled a bit at Chelsea but so did the rest of the defence and he will learn from that. A real talent and quite the signing for Brighton.

Olivier Boscagli - CB

At the moment the Frenchman gets the nod above skipper Lewis Dunk. The former PSV man has started the season well and his distribution from the back is top notch.

Ferdi Kadioglu - LB

There was a bit of transfer talk around him going to Man United but the Türkiye international remains at Brighton, which is good news. The arrival of Jaouen Hadjam offers competition and allows Kadioglu to play elsewhere if needed.

Pascal Gross - CM

Of course he plays.

Chema Andres - CM

Brighton made a late £20m move for the former Real Madrid man as the 21-year-old arrived from Stuttgart. Plenty of excitement around his arrival and the Spaniard has already been dubbed the "Baby Rodri". High praise indeed. A great replacement for Baleba and offers competition for Ayari.

Femi Azeez - RW

Albion paid around £15m to sign the Nigerian winger from Millwall. The 25-year-old should offer goals and assists and should see plenty of game time as Minteh - who did not join Liverpool - remains out with a leg injury.

Jack Hinshelwood - No 10

The academy graduate is currently out with a "small injury" but when he's fit he's Albion's first choice in this role. Malick Yalcouye showed at Chelsea he can play this position too, as can Georginio (when fit) and Matt O'Riley, who surprisingly stayed at the club this window.

Diego Gomez - LW

The Paraguayan - fresh from signing a new contract - will likely operate on the left while Kaoru Mitoma recovers from his hamstring issues. Ibrahim Osman is also a very promising option here.

Georginio - CF

The Frenchman looked sharp in the early stages of this season until injury forced him out. Probably Brighton's best centre forward option at the moment but expect to see Charalampos Kostoulas and summer signing Promise David compete.
