Serious collision closes road near Chichester as A27 sees severe delays amid planned closure
A serious collision has closed a road in the Chichester district, whilst there are also long delays on the A27.
According to AA Traffic news, B2178 Old Broyle Road is shut in both directions, in the Lavant area, causing traffic congestion.
The AA reported the closure on the stretch between Brandy Hole Lane and Drovers Lane. The incident was first reported around midday on Sunday, October 18.
No further details about those involved or when the road may reopen were included in the alert.

Separately, ‘severe delays of 110 minutes’ have been reported on the A27 westbound – between Fishbourne roundabout and Langstone roundabout, with average speeds of five mph.
The AA said congestion was due to a planned westbound closure between Emsworth Junction and Langstone roundabout, as part of roadworks. Traffic was also queueing westbound on the A259 Havant Road.
The A27 disruption was first reported at 8am.
