Manchester United already have Tony Bloom's answer amid Fabian Hurzeler and Brighton talk
All the latest transfer news and gossip for Brighton and Hove Albion and across the Premier League
Manchester United are reportedly keen on Brightonand Hove Albion’s impressive boss Fabian Hurzeler.
Hurzeler, 33, arrived at Brighton in 2024 and guided the Seagulls to a current position of third in the Premier League. They are also about to embark on a Uefa Conference League campaign for the first time in their history.
Hurzeler also piled more pressure on to the existing Manchester United boss Michael Carrick as Brighton knocked the Red Devils from the Carabao Cup last month with a 3-2 third victory.
Hurzeler, 33, is one of the brightest young manager in world football and will no doubt be in demand very shortly by the very biggest clubs across Europe.
Brighton chairman Tony Bloom is however unfazed by the situation and has been in similar positions with Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi.
Potter ended up with a chaotic spell as Chelsea manager before struggling at West Ham, while De Zerbi eventually went to Tottenham via Marseille.
Bloom isn’t worried
Bloom, speaking with BBC Sussex during the international break, said: "No I never worry about losing anyone at the football club.
"I know these things will change over time with all it is, but we're prepared for any eventuality."
Bloom took a gamble when he appointed Hurzeler from German club St Pauli. Hurzeler was 31 at the time and was the youngest ever permanent manager in Premier League history. He guided Brighton to two eighth placed finishes and qualification to the Uefa Conference League.
This season has also started extremely well with Brighton flying high in third place, despite numerous injuries to his squad.
Bloom added: "I think he's done really well in the first two seasons at the football club. And as we expected of course, he's going learn things.
“He's a really young head coach. He's had 18 months of experience as the head coach at a high level [with St Pauli], then came into the Premier League.
"He's, in each of the two seasons, had to come through some really difficult times.
“He's come through that by having real belief in his processes and his systems, and I think that experience will do him the world of good going forward.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing what he and the other coaches and the players will achieve this season."
