Kwesi Appiah scored the winner as Crawley Town saw off relegation-threatened Barrow this afternoon (Saturday, April 9).

In what was their first match under new ownership, following the news that US cryptocurrency group WAGMI United had purchased Ziya Eren’s controlling shares of the club, the Reds earned a third successive home victory.

The new owners haven't yet arrived in West Sussex, though.

“They’ll be over towards the end of the month, so that will allow for more meetings with the relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally," said Crawley Town's general manager, Tom Allman. Click here to read more

Moments later, a ball is fizzed into the box but Appiah can’t quite direct his effort on target.

(19) Barrow go close again as captain Ollie Banks pokes a shot inches wide of the post after a dangerous corner.

(11) A promsising move for Crawley as Nadesan plays a great pass out to Appiah, who finds Ferry but the full-back can’t keep the ball in play.

(9) First big chance of the game goes to Barrow, as Josh Kay fires an effort just wide of the far post.

(8) A cagey start to this game with neither side able to assert authority in midfield.

Crawley look to be playing a in a 5-2-3 formation, with Francillette, Hessenthaler and George Francomb at the back, flanked by Ferry and Tilley.
