Kwesi Appiah scored the winner as Crawley Town saw off relegation-threatened Barrow this afternoon (Saturday, April 9).

In what was their first match under new ownership, following the news that US cryptocurrency group WAGMI United had purchased Ziya Eren’s controlling shares of the club, the Reds earned a third successive home victory.

The new owners haven't yet arrived in West Sussex, though.

“They’ll be over towards the end of the month, so that will allow for more meetings with the relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally," said Crawley Town's general manager, Tom Allman. Click here to read more

Crawley Town 1-0 Barrow RECAP: Kwesi Appiah’s goal earns Reds a third successive home win in first match since US cryptocurrency takeover

Half-time: Crawley 0-0 Barrow

No goals. Not many chances. Not been a great watch so far.

(45+3) Hutchinson has a go from distance and it’s not a bad effort as it goes narrowly over the bar.

(45) Five minutes have been added on.

(42) Loud jeers from the home fans as Barrow’s Josh Kay takes an age to tie his shoelaces back up.

(39) The game gets back underway and Grayson is okay to carry on.

Nichols then makes some headway in the box but the defender does well to see it out for a corner.

After the set piece, Hutchinson fired a shot harmlessly wide from the edge of the area.

(37) A lengthy stoppage as Barrow’s Joe Grayson does down and needs treatment.

Crawley fans were not happy as James Tilley looked to be through on goal.

(34) Hutchinson brings the ball down brillantly but he has no options and this through ball finds no one.

(31) Crawley finally force Paul Farman into a save as Tom Nichols directs a superb diving header on target.

(27) Concern for Crawley as Jack Payne goes down in his own box and needs treatment. John Yems sounded particularly frustrated.

It looks like Payne is okay to carry on, thankfully.
