When Crawley did have the ball, Jenks did well to link the attacks together with the likes of Balagizi and Tilley. There’s a clear sign of talent in the Brighton loanee and he came to close to assisting Nichols in the first half. Whether Betsy will allow his former England academy captain the time to fully show his quality this season, is another matter. Photo: Crawley Town FC
10. Jake Hessenthaler - 6
Off the ball, Hessenthhaler was given the role of sitting just ahead of Crawley’s centre-half’s, Francomb and Conroy. He showed aggression before being subbed off when pressing the away side. In the end though, his performance wasn’t enough when he did feature. Photo: Cory Pickford
11. Tom Nichols - 3
Nichols ended last season as the clubs second top scorer. Against Leyton Orient however, the Reds captain showed barely any threat and struggled to get on the ball. Photo: Pete Norton
12. Dom Telford - 3
League Two’s reigning top scorer had a quiet performance for his new club. The lack of attacks from Crawley in their previous game was a problem that persisted this weekend and thus, didn’t do Telford any favours. If the former Newport man is going to reflect his recent form in England’s fourth tier, Telford needs to get involved more. Photo: Derek Martin
