A goal from Omar Bogle separated the sides in a game which saw James Tilley stretchered off and John Yems shown a red card after the final whistle.
But how did the Reds players perform? Here are Cameron Winstanley's player ratings.
5. Will Ferry 5
Couple of decent early runs off ball and lively when pressing backline. Subbed off midway through first half.
6. Nick Tsaroulla 8
Early chance blocked from close range. Important challenge to deny Bogle a one on one just after. Also denied certain goal late on in the second half. Main outlet in second half, great footwork and dangerous when in possession. Unlucky to be on losing team. Man of the Match
7. Jack Payne 6
Looping header hits bar at far post in opening stages. On end of bad challenge early in first half from Bogle. Well engaged in battle in middle but struggled to control it when in possession. 40-yard ball midway through second half helped set up good opening. Subbed off.
8. Jack Powell 7
Smashed effort from 30 yards against bar in opening minutes, would’ve been goal of the season. Couple of good passes into the channel but lost control of midfield battle end of the first half. One of the better players on the day.
