A goal from Omar Bogle separated the sides in a game which saw James Tilley stretchered off and John Yems shown a red card after the final whistle.
But how did the Reds players perform? Here are Cameron Winstanley's player ratings.
9. Remi Oteh 5
Stark contrast from previous outing. Almost no impact all game as it passed him by. Nothing stuck when ball arrived at his feet. Subbed off late on.
10. Ashley Nadesan 6
Always buzzing around defenders, never gave up chasing seemingly lost causes. More involved in second half with little interchanges drifting wide right. Best chance fell to him six yards out but a tame header straight at keeper.
11. James Tilley 7
Mostly quiet but a couple of decent runs through midfield. Scuffed half chance on edge of the box. Was one of the brighter players before stretched off after taking tasty blow to head by the ball early in second half.
12. Sam Matthews 6
Subbed on for Ferry half-way through first half with no immediate effect. Came into game more later on as Crawley pressed on. Tame shot on target from distance.
