Defiant Hollands’ message to Bognor Regis Town squad after first home league loss
Defiant Danny Hollands has told his Bognor Regis Town players to roll up their sleeves and go again after slipping to a 1-0 loss against in-form Egham Town at Nyewood Lane.
Rocks boss Hollands cut a frustrated figure after seeing his injury-hit side defeated on Tuesday to dent their Isthmian South Central division ambitions having picked up just two points from a possible nine available in their past three games.
Bognor were beaten by Connor Cullen’s 69th-minute goal before Tommy Block was dismissed following a second yellow card from a referee who irked home fans with some bizarre decisions.
The well-drilled Sarnies, now with seven wins on the spin, missed a penalty before grabbing the winner and moving to third in the table — three points behind Hollands men with a game in hand.

Now the Nye Camp gaffer will rally his charges ahead of the trip to Windsor & Eton on Saturday.
Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel, he said that he was frustrated by certain decisions but that he wants his players to show character going forward.
He added: “I think there were a few decisions that were probably a bit dubious… it's a bit of infuriation to us; referees do a job and it's hard because you can get frustrated with with them.
“Did we do enough? Probably not — again we have to roll our sleeves up and go again on Saturday.”
The Rocks were hit with late changes to the starting eleven when Ben Sheaf and Jake Cope were injured in the warm-up and were replaced by Henry Nevill and Henry McDonald.
Hollands continued: “It doesn't help losing another couple of players at the start of the game through injury — which is a frustration but like I said, we got a squad together to start the season to do a job and make sure that we're competitive and we have more than enough out there to do that.
"Like I have said to the lads, if someone comes out the team it's your job to try and keep the shirt.”
And the gaffer praised young attacker Louie Williams, who turned in a decent display full of desire and confidence on his full league debut.
Hollands said: “He did fantastically well. He was chosen to play on merit. He worked his socks off. He probably didn’t get as much goal mouth action as he wanted. He was up against two strong players and did a good job. He’s ready to play men’s football so fair play to him.”
