Elliot joined the Reds after the departure of Scott Lindsey and will have a few days to prepare for his first game as Crawley manager, with an away game against Wycombe Wanderers coming up this Saturday.
When managing at Gateshead, Elliot’s football was very good, and even a similar approach to what Crawley have adopted recently.

When on the pitch, Elliot has a plan for Crawley with one aim: to score goals.
He said: “Ultimately, I’m a big believer in the players. You can give any player information, but they have got to be brave enough to go and do it and these players exude that in every single scenario I’ve seen, there willing to play, they can go away to big stadiums, big clubs.

"They make this place rocking, and I think teams know coming here that it will be very tough, that we are going to dominate the ball, we will have real good structure, but the fact is that what I want to see is that everything we do is to score goals and to attack the goal.

“We want to see exciting football, we want to see our exciting players, our talent, we want to see them in front of the goal, backing themselves and I think if we do that, we won’t regret anything as we’ll leave everything out there. The good thing with that is we can review and assess that and become a little bit better next week.”
With Elliot only arriving recently from Gateshead, he is not going to jump in and make any big decisions yet, seeking fairness and for everyone to have a chance.
He said: “I’m not going to make any major decisions, we have got a big squad, everyone in the squad has their own strengths and they can contribute.
