FA Vase second round: Eight Sussex clubs try to keep Wembley dream alive
Eight Sussex non-league clubs bid for FA Vase progress this weekend.
Six who won in the first round to reach this stage are joined by two that had byes thanks to recent seasons’ progress to later rounds, Crawley Down Gatwick and Haywards Heath Town.
Only two Sussex sides are at home this weekend in ties from which winning sides will earn £900 prize money.
They are Hassocks – who host Eastbourne United in a county derby – and Pagham, who welcome AFC Greenwich Borough.
Another half-dozen Sussex teams are on the road, although Crawley Down Gatwick are only just over the county border with a visit to Lingfield.
