School welcomes historical donation

rew’s High School in East Worthing has welcomed the donation of Duke of Edinburgh memorabilia from Ian Tickner

Ian, of Clarendon Road, was part of the first group to take the Silver Award at St Andrew’s in 1962.

He asked for his certificate, badge and log book to be passed on to the school, in Sackville Road.

Katy Sharpe said: “I have been the centre co-ordinator for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for eight years now and we are extremely proud of all of our participants.

“We would love to have the items from the ex-student – how nice of him to donate them.”
