Echo & The Bunnymen play Eastbourne after new album

Winter Garden, Eastbourne

Echo & The Bunnymen bring their iconic sound to the Winter Garden, Eastbourne on Tuesday, November 10 at 7pm.

A spokesman said: “The Eastbourne date is one of six UK dates just announced in support of their new album, Apples For Isaac, which is out now and is Echo & The Bunnymen’s first album of new music in twelve years. It is the band’s 13th album and follows 2014’s Meteorites and the 2018 compilation, The Stars, the Oceans & the Moon.

“An untouchable voice singing lyrics that could well be poetry from the stars, set against a musical backdrop capable of levitating listeners without warning, Apples for Isaac is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen.

“After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is bold and confident. Across Apples for Isaac’s eleven songs, Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant and the band have created an utterly addictive collection that perfectly captures the very essence of what makes the Bunnymen so great.”

Apples For Isaac features the late drummer Clem Burke playing on ten of the album’s eleven tracks. The Bunnymen noted his contribution to the album: “The mighty, legendary Clem Burke – longtime friend of Mac – was integral to the making of the album, and heartbreakingly passed away during its completion... love you Clem X”

Apples For Isaac features the singles Brussels Is Haunted, The Light That Surrounds You and Take Me.
