BALCOMBE VILLAGE VOICE 29 October 2026

ROAD CLOSURE: The London Road will be closed from 8.00 pm on Thursday 29 October until 6.00 am Wednesday 4 November for carriageway joint sealing from the Train Station to Kelsey House.

BALCOMBE PARISH COUNCIL: the dates of the next meetings are:  Wednesdays 4 November and 2 December.  Please note that the website is www.balcombeparishcouncil.gov.uk

The Clerk’s email address is now [email protected]

BALCOMBE WI: At the next meeting on Thursday 5 November there will be an experienced crafter from another WI who will demonstrate how to make a colourful Christmas Rag Wreath. This workshop is free to members and everything you need is supplied, but bring your own Christmas fabric, small cones or baubles if you wish. There are a few places available for visitors which would incur a fee. If you would like to participate and are not a member then please refer to the Balcombe Magazine to book a place. Thursday 5 November at 2.00 pm in the Victory Hall.

BALCOMBE FOODBANK: please consider this month a reverse advent calendar idea, that instead of receiving by opening a door and getting a chocolate, each day you put aside an essential item in a box or basket so by the end of advent you have 24 items to donate. Perhaps a new tradition to start in your family? And for those with children to begin the conversation of social responsibility and thinking of others.  Irrespective of this initiative as always, any donation large or small is always gratefully received.  Collection points are at Balcombe Stores or in Stockcroft Road.

BALCOMBE CLUB: The Club has live music on Saturday 7 November from 8.30 pm when OverDrive will be playing rock music from the 60s – 70s era.   There will also be food available from Orla’s Kitchen from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

CHURCH SERVICES: Sunday 1 November 8.00 am Holy Communion, 9.30 am All Saints Family Service with Fr David, 6.00 pm All Souls Reflective Service where the names of those we wish to remember are read out.
