Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) has announced its first ever Big Open Weekend at Westgate Leisure Centre, offering two days of free-swimming sessions, fitness classes and family-friendly activities on 24 and 25 October.

Across the weekend, visitors can expect free activities such as pool inflatable sessions, swimming taster sessions and family fun swims. Free children’s activities such as soft play and bouncy castle sessions, as well as fitness activities such as football and racket sport sessions will also be available for everyone.
Matt Low, Contract Manager for LSCT, which operates the centre in partnership with Serco Leisure, said: “This is our first Big Open Weekend at Westgate Leisure Centre, and we’re excited about the programme of sessions we’ve got on offer. Visitors can try our facilities for free, take part in a range of activities, and experience our inclusive and friendly centres.
“I’d encourage everyone to take advantage of the event and focus on their health and wellbeing in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you want to try out one of our gyms or get involved in a family fun swim, we have something for everyone. To see what’s on and book your activities, visit our website, we look forward to welcoming you!”
Councillor John Cross, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Place at Chichester District Council said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the whole of the community to come and find out about the huge range of activities on offer at the leisure centre. You don’t have to be a centre member or have visited it before to enjoy the weekend. There is so much for families to enjoy, including the new pool inflatable which is a wonderful addition.”
