Following a sold-out North American season, the dynamic new musical Ceilidh comes spinning and stomping into the UK, directed by Tony Award-winning Sam Pinkleton.

Despite being directed by an American, the show is a firmly Scottish production, written by Scottish duo Scott Gilmour and Clair McKenzie (Noisemaker), choreographed by Sam Pinkleton (Oh! Mary) and co-produced by the iconic Alan Cumming.
Ceilidh is Cumming's first project as Artistic Director of the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, where the show has played for just over a week before romping south towards Shoreditch Town Hall in October. Ceilidh will then dance across 12 venues across the UK including Eastbourne Winter Gardens, Floral Hall from 24th - 29th November.

The show is a part-dance part-musical, and invites audiences into one of Scotland's oldest and most beloved traditions. Centring around the story of a spirited caller who is responsible for leading the dances, this immersive experience welcomes audiences into a slowly unfurling family tale and promises to bring the heartwarming community feel of the ceilidh to Eastbourne.
Although keeping traditional Scottish music and dances alive, the show also includes new, original songs, placing it somewhere between a new musical and a traditional dance. Ceilidh channels the community aspects of the Scottish dance that is its namesake, inviting the audience to join in with the dancing, or enjoy a dram from the sidelines.
The all-Scottish cast includes writer Scott Gilmour, as well as Kyle Gardiner, David Rankine, who has been a caller himself, and Kirsty Findlay amongst others.
Ceilidh visits Eastbourne Winter Gardens, Floral Hall from 24th - 29th November. Tickets are on sale now from CeilidhMusical.co.uk
