With the launch of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal 2026, our amazing volunteers are out at the Billingshurst Sainsbury’s and Lidl and in the mornings at the railway station.

The Poppy is the symbol of Remembrance. It ensures that the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community are always remembered and represents a hope for a peaceful future. For more than a century it has been worn as a mark of respect and Remembrance. To wear one is a personal choice and is greatly appreciated by the Royal British Legion.
This Poppy Appeal, you can help us continue to be there for serving personnel, veterans, and their families by donating, volunteering your time, wearing a poppy, fundraising, or exploring other ways to get involved. Poppy Appeal Collectors have been at the heart of the Poppy Appeal for over 100 years, helping raise funds across the country to support the Armed Forces community.
If you have time and would like to join us, we’d love to hear from you. No prior military service is necessary; simply a desire to help keep the Act of Remembrance alive.
