CHAILEY EVENING WI meet at the village hall on Tuesday November 3, at 7.30pm, when Pete Allan will give a talk titled ‘Watching the Detectives: A History of British Television Crime Fighters’. On the way it unearths the clues that reveal how our fascination with the long arm of the law owes much to the uncertainty, experimentation and innovation of the early days of television.’ Please do join members for this evening, the first visit to Chailey Evening WI is free and includes refreshments.
