Six wines, three bluffers and plenty of porkies! FABIS’s annual sell-out favourite, Call My Wine Bluff, returned to the Assembly Room in Chichester on 2 October 2026 for an evening of good food, great company and some very convincing tall tales.

Teams of ten put their detective skills to the test as they tasted three white wines and three reds. For each wine, our three bluffers offered a different story about its origins. Only one was telling the truth. The challenge? Spot the expert from the expert fibbers!

Keeping everyone guessing were Martyn Bell, Past Mayor of Chichester; Vicky Knight, Director of LV Rehabilitation; and Tim Johnson, Chichester District Councillor. All three kept their stories flowing until the TRUE and FALSE cards revealed the answers at the end of each round.
And you certainly didn’t need to be a wine expert to enjoy yourself. As one guest put it: “I had a brilliant time”. Others praised the value for money and the quality of the food and wines. One was already asking about early-bird discounts for next year!
Alongside the wine and friendly competition, there were some superb raffle prizes, with many guests taking home an extra reason to smile.

A big thank you to our bluffers and everyone who joined us and made the evening such a success. Plans for 2027 are already underway, so keep an eye out for details. Will you be able to spot the bluff next time?
