Copthorne and East Grinstead slimming expert celebrated for her work helping people lose weight

A Slimming World Consultant from Copthorne and East Grinstead has taken part in a prestigious celebration day thanks to their amazing work supporting people in the area to live happier, healthier lives.

Debbie Dixon who runs the Copthorne Group at Jubilee Pavilion, Copthorne on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and East Grinstead group at Trinity Methodist on a Thursday attended the event at the company’s Derbyshire Head Office.

In the past year, Debbie has supported 65 members to achieve their target weight, a personal goal chosen by each individual, with many more now close to reaching their too.

She is hugely proud of the difference she makes within her local community.

She says: “Attending this event is an achievement for everyone in my 3 groups in 2026 alone, they’ve shed an incredible combined total of 442 stones and the improvements they’ve seen in their health and wellbeing go well beyond the scales, too.

My members have changed their relationship with food, developed lasting healthy habits like becoming more active, seen dramatic health transformations and found their mental wellbeing and confidence improve too, plus much more.”

Debbie also achieved Slimming World’s Gold Award in 2024. The win acknowledges her for running one of the Top 5% groups across the UK and Ireland.

She achieved this thanks to the number of people she supports each week, the exceptional level of service she provides, and the incredible weight loss results she empowers her members to achieve.

Debbie and other high achieving weight loss experts were greeted on the day by some of the company’s directors and were given a behind-the-scenes tour of Slimming World’s Head Office, while also hearing about exciting developments coming up in 2027.

Debbie says: “It was an absolute honour to be invited to this celebration day. It was so special meeting other Consultants like me who are working across the UK and Ireland to support people to lose weight and improve their health.”

One of Debbie's members Jo Chard joined just as the group had achieved their Gold award , she says “I remember I was so nervous walking into my first group session, but I was met with such warmth and finally felt like I’d found a place where everyone just got it. With the support of my group, I lost weight while enjoying delicious, filling meals – I couldn’t believe it! I attend every week and have lost 8 stone 7 lbs

It’s incredible to think how far I’ve come, and I feel proud of myself getting back into the clothes I love to wear.”

Debbie says “It’s so special running my own Slimming World groups and supporting my members with their weight losses. Seeing them reach each milestone and celebrating with them is the most incredible feeling. I truly believe I have the best, most rewarding role in the world and being treated to days like this makes it even more special.”
