Free screening of award-winning Ukrainian film Dovbush coming to Bexhill

Residents of Bexhill and the surrounding area are invited to a free screening of the acclaimed Ukrainian historical film Dovbush on Friday 12 September at 4:00 pm at St Peter's Community Centre.

The screening is part of the international film marathon Empowered UA, marking the 35th Anniversary of the Restoration of Ukraine's Independence.

Inspired by the true story of legendary Carpathian leader Oleksa Dovbush, the film tells a gripping story of courage, freedom and resistance. Featuring spectacular mountain scenery, dramatic action and compelling characters, Dovbush has become one of Ukraine's most successful historical films.

The film will be shown in Ukrainian with English subtitles, making it accessible to both Ukrainian and local audiences.

The organisers warmly welcome everyone interested in discovering Ukrainian history, culture and cinema. Admission is free, with voluntary donations welcome. Tea and coffee will be available before the screening.
