A 21-year-old from Hastings will run 55 miles (88km) across the South Downs in denim jeans next month to raise money for men's mental health charity Andy's Man Club.

Peter Nagle will take on UK Ultra's Winter on the Downs on 5th December, a single-loop race with more than 7,000ft of climbing. That's over two marathons back to back in actual jeans, not just running kit with denim over the top.
Peter's jeans are supplied by The Perfect Jean, a New York-based stretch denim brand whose jeans are designed to move like activewear. The company has backed his challenge and will follow his training online. Peter previously ran the Hastings Half Marathon in jeans for the same charity.
He is raising money for Andy's Man Club, which runs free, judgement-free talking groups for men across the UK every Monday at 7pm.
"This isn't just about raising money," said Peter. "If this gets one person talking to a mate who's struggling, that matters just as much as any donation. 55 miles is hard enough in proper running kit, let alone jeans. Every mile will be a reminder of the struggles that millions of men carry every day, often without anyone knowing."
