Whether it's a colourful bobble hat, a festive creation or something completely outrageous, everyone is invited to wear a hat, have some fun and make a difference.

The annual fundraising event is a simple way for people of all ages to come together and support children, young people and families living with complex disabilities.

Taking part couldn't be easier. Simply wear your favourite hat on Wednesday 25 November and donate £1 for children or £2 for adults. Schools, workplaces, community groups and families can also organise their own Woolly Hat Wednesday celebrations.

Funds raised will help provide meaningful experiences and opportunities that support confidence, independence and enjoyment for children and young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

From experiencing the freedom of movement in a hydrotherapy pool to making choices and caring for animals on the charity's farm, these activities offer opportunities for learning, discovery and enjoyment.

Will Folkes, Director of Specialist Services at Chailey Heritage Foundation, said: "Every child and young person we support has their own unique abilities, interests and aspirations. What might seem like a small experience to someone else can be an incredibly meaningful achievement for a young person with complex disabilities.

"Whether it's using Assistive Technology or enjoying Aquatics and Hydrotherapy, these moments can have a lasting impact on confidence, wellbeing and quality of life for children, young people and their families.

"Woolly Hat Wednesday is a wonderful way for our local community to help make more of these experiences possible. We're so grateful to everyone who gets involved, and we can't wait to see all the fantastic hats!"

Chailey Heritage Foundation hopes to see schools, businesses and local communities across Sussex embrace the event, bringing people together for a day of fun while supporting an important local cause.

So, grab your hat, gather your friends, family or colleagues and help make Wednesday 25 November a Woolly Hat Wednesday to remember!
