It's so easy to fret - with all the things happening around the world and constantly within our own lives. God understands when we are anxious and worried, but in Psalm 37, which we looked at together on Sunday, we are encouraged not to fret, but to wait patiently and expectantly, in faith and hope, while also continuing to move forward and to keep doing good, trusting that God will guide, provide and help in His perfect timing. Great is your faithfulness, O God my Father.
On Sunday 25th October, Breakfast Church will start at 9.30am in the church (BN7 2LR) and there will be a warm welcome for everyone! We will have a breakfast of coffee, cereal, toast, fruit and warm pastries, then we will have a short talk, a prayer and some worship. After a short break, the second part of the service will include more worship, a sermon, discussion, and prayers, as well as Sunday school and a creche with lots of fun activities for the children. The service ends at about 11.15am. The service will also be on Zoom. The Zoom ID is 5912614502, password: Eastgate.
On Wednesday 28th October at 7pm in the church, we will be continuing our Christianity Explored course, a place where you can come and ask any question and find out more about Jesus. Everyone is welcome.
We have our weekly prayer meeting at 9am on Thursdays in the vestry. On Saturday mornings, you can drop in to the church for coffee and prayer between 10am and 11am.
We have several rooms and a hall that can be hired for parties, clubs or meetings. Call 07581 807060 on Tuesday to Saturday to discuss what you need.
We remember all who are suffering both locally and across the world and pray for peace and the hope that Jesus offers us.
If you need pastoral support, please contact Pastor Ollie on 07581 807060 or the deacons on 07902048676.
