Seaford Christmas Magic returns on Saturday 12 December 2026

Seaford Town Council is pleased to announce the return of Seaford Christmas Magic on Saturday 12 December 2026, bringing a day of entertainment, community celebration and Christmas cheer to the town.

This much-loved annual celebration is free to attend and invites residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy a wonderful day of festive activities, community spirit and seasonal entertainment.

A firm favourite in Seaford’s festive calendar, Seaford Christmas Magic transforms the town centre into a festive celebration, with something for everyone to enjoy. One of the event’s most memorable features is the spectacular lantern parade, which attracted more than 700 participants last year, lighting up the streets before culminating in the Christmas light switch-on in Broad Street. It was a fantastic display of community spirit and a magical occasion for everyone involved.

This year’s event will once again offer a fantastic programme of festive attractions, bringing together local organisations, performers, businesses and families to celebrate the season.

Event highlights include:

• Lantern Parade – The much-anticipated lantern parade will return, featuring lanterns made during free workshops in local schools and care homes, alongside a large public workshop on the day. These activities offer everyone an opportunity to take part and help create a spectacular festive display.

• Santa’s Grotto – Little ones will have the opportunity to meet Father Christmas and enjoy a magical Christmas experience, completely free of charge.

• Live Performance Stage – Enjoy a fantastic selection of performances from local schools, choirs and community groups throughout the day, with support from Seahaven FM.

• Traditional Christmas Market – Browse a wonderful selection of stalls offering unique Christmas gifts, handmade crafts and delicious seasonal food and drink.

• Funfair and Festive Activities – Traditional fairground rides and a variety of activities for all ages.
