In the 2026 Special Ladies’ Open she beat three strong players and then in the Final 13-times previous winner Pauline Withey of Oxfordshire. Next weekend it will be Michael’s turn to shine when he represents Surrey in the All-England Individuals, played at the same venue.

With these two players having indicated a limited involvement this season, the Windmill team has been bolstered with the signing of the biggest name in the game, 7-times World Champion Kevin Tunstall, who made a successful debut, scoring 9370 at Roffey and inspiring his teammates to a 4-1 victory: Graham Daniels chipping in with 4390, Mick Holmwood with 6540 and Paul Jobbins with 6210.
