More great stand-up this week as Danny’s Comedy Club announces plans to expand

At the last showing of Danny’s Comedy Club at the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath, the audience were queuing out the door to get in.

Half an hour before curtain up the venue was full and by the time the first act took to the stage, there was literally standing room only.

Owner and producer Daniel Kington said; “I knew that we’d truly arrived when the first people attempted to gain entry without paying but to see the wonderful staff at the Birch Hotel grabbing every spare chair in the place until they ran out, was humbling.

“I am so grateful to everyone who has supported the club and given us such warm compliments.”

As Danny’s Comedy Club continues to grow in popularity, plans are afoot to expand the franchise to other towns.

“The support we have had from people in mid-Sussex has encouraged us to bring our successful line-ups to other places as well, something we never dared to hope for when we started. Watch this space.”

A host of experienced comedic talent has been booked for the next show on Friday, September 27, at the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath.

Mel Crosby draws on his experiences working in strip clubs, being married and having kids as a framing device for deeper conspiratorial theories on everything from 9/11 and plutocratic oligarchy to “television for the brain dead”. This gives Mel the chance to win the laughs from not only the weekend crowd but also the more refined comedy audience.
