Here's how a pint at a Littlehampton pub can help fight food poverty

This September, a pint in a Littlehampton pub could do a whole lot more than quench your thirst.

The Crown, in the High Street, is taking part in Carling’s ‘Heroes of Hunger’ – a month-long campaign to support local food banks and people in need.

For the whole month of September, 5p from every pint of Carling sold at the pub will be donated to local food banks to help fight food poverty.

Proper Pubs, which operates The Crown, said: “It may look like a small amount per pint, but it soon adds up.

"Last year, the Heroes of Hunger campaign raised more than £15,000 for local food banks - proving that communities really can come together, one pint at a time.

“So, whether it is a catch-up with friends, watching the match or a well-earned after-work drink, choosing a Carling means you are helping make a difference close to home.”
