In response, my lodge came together to help raise support and awareness. We organized several events, including a summer BBQ, a quiz night, and a very successful ladies' night. With the invaluable help of our social secretary, Gary Hardley, and our charity steward, Steve Taylor, we managed to raise £4600."

Ordinges Lodge hosted a variety of community-focused activities throughout the year to generate donations. Events like the summer BBQ and quiz night drew in crowds eager to enjoy the festivities while supporting a worthy cause. A highlight of the fundraising drive was the lodge's annual ladies' night, which proved a resounding success, contributing significantly to the total amount raised.
SAY Aphasia, a charity dedicated to helping those affected by aphasia, has expressed their gratitude for the generous donation. Aphasia is a communication disorder often caused by strokes, and the funds will be instrumental in providing resources and support for individuals and their families living with the condition.
The lodge's social secretary, Gary Hardley, and charity steward, Steve Taylor, were pivotal in coordinating the year-long campaign. Their efforts ensured a wide range of events were accessible to the community, bringing people together to both enjoy and support a meaningful cause.
