David Slade, Chairman of the Littlehampton Wave Life Saving Club, expressed his pride and commitment to the RLSS’s cause, saying, “The Royal Life Saving Society is the UK’s Drowning Prevention Charity and was established in 1891 to reduce the number of accidental drownings. It still works hard today through volunteers by teaching the importance of water safety, survival, basic rescue, and CPR skills. The Littlehampton Wave Life Saving Club is one of the groups teaching youngsters these skills. Only this month, one 16-year-old young lady from the club saved a life by dealing with a choking incident.”
