West Sussex Freemasons visit Sage House Dementia Hub in Tangmere

A group of 26 West Sussex Freemasons and their partners enjoyed an insightful visit to Sage House Dementia Hub in Tangmere on Monday, 24 November. The visit offered a unique opportunity to learn more about the charity’s work and the wide range of services available to people living with dementia and their families.
The group, representing lodges from Bognor, Chichester, Midhurst and Littlehampton, were welcomed by Chief Operations Officer Emma Radley and Head of Fundraising James Lovell. Their detailed presentation highlighted the comprehensive support Sage House provides, from practical help to emotional and clinical guidance.
Following the presentation, visitors were given a guided tour of the centre. They explored the assessment and counselling areas, as well as the on-site hairdresser and a fully equipped assisted-bathing facility, all designed to help people with dementia maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing.
The evening’s highlight came when Brother John Burgon of Wayfarers Lodge, which meets in Bognor, presented Sage House with a cheque for £2,000—a donation that was warmly welcomed by the charity.

Lisa Hoare, Fundraiser at Sage House, expressed her appreciation: “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Wayfarers Lodge for their very generous donation. Your support plays an important role in helping us continue our work at Sage House, and we are deeply appreciative of your commitment.”
Brother John Burgon responded on behalf of Wayfarers Lodge: “Wayfarers Lodge No. 7995 are very happy and pleased to support Sage House in their efforts in providing the latest support, information, advice and activities to those living with dementia, as well as their families, from their bespoke, modern and functional hub at Tangmere.”
Sage House describes itself as “a bespoke, modern and functional community hub where we bring local Dementia Support services together under one roof.” Based in Tangmere, the centre provides up-to-date information, guidance, activities and compassionate support for people living with dementia across West Sussex.
