BONFIRE CAROL CONCERT

BONFIRE societies will set the festive season off with a bang when they hold a procession and carol concert in Uckfield.

Representatives from societies all around East Sussex will don their favourite costumes and meet at the entrance to Harcourt Road, Uckfield, on December 10,

At around 2.30pm they will proceed along the High Street to Holy Cross Church where a carol concert is to be held.

Secretary of the Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society Carol Watts '“ Arnold said: 'Members of the public are welcome and there will be a collection at the end. Half the money raised will go to Holy Cross Church and the other half will go to a chosen charity. Everyone will be in their costumes and it should be a lovely way to get people in the mood for the festive season.'
