Damian, who volunteers with 2nd Durrington Sea Scout Group, said: “I’m really excited to go the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. My parents were Scouts, so it really runs in the family. I’m excited to go and help the next generation, too, and share my love for the movement.”
The jamboree is a skills, cultural and adventure festival giving young people the experience of a lifetime, while thinking about global issues in a new light.
In the run-up to July 2023, Damian and Jon will be supporting all the young people from the Worthing district and Arundel and Littlehampton district who have been selected to attend the jamboree. This will include spending time on personal development and using their journey to Korea to inspire others.

"Young people could not take part in these life-changing events without the support of adult volunteers like Damian and Jon. Over the last couple of years, adult volunteers have played an important part in holding our communities together. Now is their chance to have an adventure.”
