'Fantastic community spirit' - upcoming Halloween and other charity events in Eastbourne
A bar in Eastbourne has organised seasonal charity events including this weekend for Halloween.
Aqua Bar, on Sea Road in Pevensey Bay, has organised two ‘exciting community events’ to fundraise for the Children with Cancer Fund.
Tomorrow on Halloween (Saturday, October 31) Aqua Bar will be hosting a Halloween party for all ages. The children’s event will begin at 4pm and will have games, party bags and prizes for best fancy dress. This will be followed by an adult’s event from 7pm with a DJ and special effects and animations. Both parties will have a free buffet.
A spokesperson for the bar said: “The residents of Pevensey have dedicated weeks of hard work, time and creativity to transforming the pub garden into a fantastic Halloween display. The decorations have been created by the residents themselves, and we are incredibly proud of the effort and dedication that has gone into bringing this project to life.
"Any money raised during the Halloween event will also be donated to charity.” After the Halloween fun Aqua Bar will also host a fireworks display on November 7 starting at 8pm and will be free to watch.
The spokesperson also added: “This event is another opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy an evening of entertainment and raise money for a very worthwhile cause. “Both events have taken considerable time, planning and dedication, with the residents of Pevensey giving up their own time to help make them possible. We believe their efforts deserve recognition, particularly as everything is being done to bring people together and support charitable causes.”
