Bognor Regis ice rink won't return this Christmas, organisers confirm
Bognor Regis’ ice rink will not return this year, its organisers have confirmed.
Arun District Council and the Cole Family, who operate the attraction, have confirmed the decision, citing increased fuel prices and wider financial pressures affecting event operators.

The announcement will come as a disappointment to residents and visitors, with the ice rink having become a popular part of Bognor Regis's festive calendar in recent years.
In a joint statement, the council and the Cole Family said: “We are sorry to share that the ice rink will not be returning to Bognor Regis this year.
“This decision has been made by the operator, the Cole Family, following a significant increase in operating costs, driven largely by ongoing fuel price pressures and the wider cost challenges currently affecting event operators.
"While we are all extremely disappointed by this outcome, we understand that this has been a very difficult decision for the operator to take.
“The council and the Cole Family had been working together on the event application process in the same way as previous years, with every expectation that the attraction would return. However, as cost pressures showed no sign of easing, the operator concluded that it would not be possible to deliver the event in a financially sustainable way.
“We know this news will be disappointing for many people. The ice rink has become a valued part of the festive season in Bognor Regis, creating memorable experiences for families and helping to attract visitors into the town during the winter months.
“While we are saddened that this year's event cannot go ahead, Arun District Council and the Cole Family remain committed to supporting the town and exploring future opportunities wherever possible.
“Our thanks go to residents, businesses and visitors for their understanding and support.”
