Largest adult gaming centre in West Sussex opens new site in former Chichester city centre pub

West Sussex gaming centre Cassino Amusements has opened a new site at a former pub in Chichester city centre.

The Bull Inn, in Market Road, was closed in 2015 and stood in a sorry state until 2023, when work began on gutting the interior and repainting the exterior.

Permission was granted for change of use to an adult gaming centre in July 2025 and Cassino opened there on January 5, 2026.

The centre is home to a variety of gaming machines, for adults only. The family-owned business is the largest adult gaming centre in West Sussex, with other premises in Bognor Regis, Worthing and Littlehampton.

When the application was submitted to Chichester District Council by Woods Whur, on behalf of Lordsdale Estates Holding, it stated the applicant had agreed to lease the Victorian building to its subsidiary Cassamo Holdings for ten years.

Woods Whur added: "In addition to providing new and sustainable investment in the premises, the proposed adult gaming centre will contribute footfall to other local businesses and will create five full-time new jobs for the local community. This proposal will enhance the vitality, viability and commercial character of this part of Market Road.”

The company runs adult gaming centres under the name Cassino.
