Littlehampton town chaplain: 17 pictures from the celebration and thanksgiving for the life of the Rev Martin Seymour

There was a huge turnout for the celebration and thanksgiving for the life of the Rev Martin Seymour at Littlehampton Baptist Church today.

The funeral procession featured a black cab, as Mr Seymour was a black cab driver before he was a pastor. His wife Jose and children Treena and Lee thanked ‘all of the amazing people’ who helped bring the day together, those who travelled far and wide and shared their love and support.

The Rev Roy Connor welcomed everyone to the service and Hope Rising performed a solo, Be Still. The eulogy written by Jose was read by Mr Connor and memories were shared from friends and family. Hymns included Blessed Assurance, In Christ Alone and How Great Thou Art. A committal for the family and close friends followed at Worthing Crematorium, then everyone gathered for afternoon tea at Long Furlong Barn.
