New sauna to open in Eastbourne gym
A new state-of-the-art sauna is set to open in the Eastbourne branch of a global gym chain.
The infrared sauna will open to members of Snap Fitness inside Langney Shopping Centre on Thursday, August 20.
Access to the new facility will be included in existing memberships at no extra cost.
Reservations will open to members via the Snap Fitness app on Friday, August 21 with a limit of three people per 30-minute block.
Unlike traditional steam saunas that heat the air around a user, infrared saunas use light energy to heat your body directly at a lower air temperature.
A spokesperson for Snap Fitness say the benefits include faster muscle recovery, improved circulation, stress relief and relaxation and enhanced skin radiance.
The gym, which is open 24 hours each day, has operated inside Langney Shopping Centre since 2020.
Snap Fitness won’t be the only gym in Eastbourne getting a new sauna as plans for new facilities at the David Lloyd Centre were recently approved.
