A mother duck and her ducklings had to be guided back towards the moat after they got lost in the Herstmonceux Castle Estate.

Herstmonceux Castle Estate posted about the incident on Wednesday, April 19.

A spokesperson said: “Our wonderful Julie Ryan does so much behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. This week that just so happened to include herding a family of sweet ducklings back safely towards the moat after they got lost around the castle. Well done Julie!”

This comes a week after a mother duck and 10 ducklings caused traffic in Eastbourne as they walked just under a mile through the streets of Willingdon.
