Plans to replace builder's site in Birdham with eight homes

Plans to redevelop a former builder’s site in Birdham with eight homes have been submitted to Chichester District Council.

The application from Redmoor Partnership seeks permission to build on the site on the Redmoor Estate, in Main Road, which was formerly used by the W Stirland construction company.

If approved, the development will be made up of three two-bedroom, three three-bedroom, and two four-bedroom homes.

Plans to build nine homes on the site were refused by the council in March for reasons including the ‘unacceptable overbearing impact’ they would have, as well as the housing mix, and the loss of an employment site.

A statement submitted with the latest application said discussions had been held with the planning officer and the reasons for refusal had been addressed.
