The group wanted to contribute to Blythswood Care’s 50th anniversary and help the charity to meet its aim of two million festive shoeboxes.

The Scouts collected items such as shower gel, toothbrushes, pens, toys, T-shirts and sweets to fill the boxes and enclosed the 6th Worthing Air Scout and Worthing District badges.

Charity representatives Val Brown and Lisa Billett went along to collect the boxes and gave a talk explaining what happens next. The Scouts learned their boxes would be travelling approximately 1,400 miles to Serbia in time for Christmas.

If anyone is interested in donating some items, contact Val Brown on 07789580062.
