Congress Theatre
That’ll Be The Day is back on the road this autumn with a brand-new version of the show, taking in 36 dates across the UK including Wednesday, September 9 at Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre and Friday, September 18 at Portsmouth’s Kings Theatre
A spokesman said: “That’ll Be The Day is a unique feel-good experience that is bursting with electrifying performances, laugh-out-loud comedy sketches and chart-topping favourites. The show brings decades of music to life in a vibrant blend of rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and nostalgia and features hits that span from the 50s through to the 80s. Capturing the joy these iconic songs and artists have brought to generations of fans, the show is guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
“Every performance is packed with energy and authenticity, creating an atmosphere where singing along, smiling, and tapping your feet is not just encouraged, but inevitable.
More than just a concert, That’ll Be The Day is a dynamic theatrical experience.”
Trevor Payne, director/producer/vocalist, added: “One of the secrets behind our success is the dedication and hard work of the entire company. I’m especially proud that what began as performances in clubs and holiday camps has evolved into the UK’s number-one touring rock and roll theatre show in the country. Unlike any other act I know, That’ll Be The Day refreshes its content annually and strives to improve production year on year. It is unique in many ways and continues to captivate and delight our loyal army of fans across the country.”
The show has raised over £1million for Childline, Make A Wish, Help for Heroes, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, and numerous appeals, including the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal, through post-show bucket collections.
