Brighton and AFC Wimbledon youngsters join Horsham FC on loan

A pair of young guns have joined Horsham FC on loan ahead of their FA Cup second qualifying round trip to National League South rivals Walton & Hersham.

Harry Hedges has returned to the Hornets from AFC Wimbledon.

The 18-year-old impressed on loan in West Sussex last season and scored a spectacular goal at Salisbury in Horsham’s last away match of 2025-26.

Hedges signed his first professional contract with the Dons this summer and has been given a shirt number in the first-team squad.

Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Michael Dike has also joined the Hornets on a short-term basis.

The Republic of Ireland under-19 international spent time on loan at Burgess Hill Town last season, having made his debut in adult football as a 17-year-old in his native country before being snapped up by the Seagulls.

The youngsters will provide much-needed reinforcements at Horsham after recent injuries to goalkeepers Sam Howes and Will Heater, defender Lee Harding, midfielder Danny Barker, and winger Reece Myles-Meekums.
