All the latest transfer and contract news for Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton goalkeeper Nils Ramming has joined League Two Rochdale on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old will join Albion on their pre-season training camp in France, before heading to Spotland.

Sporting director Mike Cave said, “This is an excellent opportunity for Nils to take the step in his development into the men’s game at a good level.

“We believe he can use this year to continue to progress and we look forward to seeing how he performs.”

The goalkeeper signed for Albion from Eintracht Frankfurt in July 2025.

Rochdale were promoted to League Two via the National League play-offs last season.

Ramming, who is a Swedish youth international, said: “I’m excited to be here.

“The chats I had were all positive, and the style of play speaks to me a lot, which I’m looking forward to.

“It’s not every day you get to meet the boys in Spain on a training camp, and I can’t wait for the next few days.”

Watson delighted to sign Ramming

Head Coach Ian Watson said: “We’re delighted to get Nils over the line, and I’d like to thank Brighton for being so accommodating.

“He was one of our top targets for the goalkeeping position. Josh [Lillis] and I have watched a lot of him, and we kept pushing to bring him in.

“We’ve had to be patient with the goalkeeper situation because we know how important it is for us.

“He’s very calm with his feet, which we have to be with the style that we play. He understands that, being from Brighton, and he’s obviously very good at keeping the ball out of the net.”
