Pictures: Ice rink and Christmas market open in Eastbourne town centre

The attractions, which are next to the Enterprise Shopping Centre, opened on Thursday, December 1. They will be open until January 8.

Last year the ice rink, which attracted more than 17,000 visitors in 2021, had a maximum capacity of 75 people - this year it can hold more than 100 skaters. The ice rink last year was also the first real one in the town for more than a decade.

As part of ‘Winterland’ there are several stalls set up selling gifts, food and drinks. On top of this there is also an ‘ice rink bar’ which is being run by Catering by Bucklers. Your Eastbourne BID said Bucklers are selling Christmas dinner Yorkshire pudding wraps.

Local ice hockey club Eastbourne Edge is also going to run sessions on the ice rink during the festive period.
